Mobile App Development

Mobile app development for businesses in Almaty and Kazakhstan: iOS, Android, and cross-platform solutions. We design user flows and architecture, build the backend and API, publish to the app stores, and support the product after release.

In short

What does custom mobile app development include?

Mobile app development covers user flow design, interface design following iOS and Android guidelines, client-side and backend development with an API, authentication, push notifications, integrations with CRM and payment systems, QA, publishing to the App Store and Google Play, and ongoing support.

Who it's for

Businesses with repeat orders

Delivery, clinics, salons, fitness — anywhere customers come back regularly. An app makes booking and ordering easier, and push notifications keep you on their radar without ad spend.

Service and logistics companies

A mobile workplace for field staff: job requests, routes, statuses, photo reports. Data reaches your back-office system straight from the field, not from a messenger chat at the end of the day.

Product teams and SaaS

A mobile client for an existing product. We connect the app to your API or design it together with the backend — so the web and mobile versions work with the same data.

Companies with internal systems

Access to CRM, ERP, or inventory from a smartphone: approvals, stock levels, reports. Managers and field staff see up-to-date data outside the office.

What problems a mobile app solves

Client

When does a business need an app rather than a website?

A mobile app makes sense when users come back regularly: orders, bookings, subscriptions, loyalty programs. The app lives on the phone's home screen and works with push notifications and offline scenarios that a browser can't offer.

Client

How does an app bring customers back?

Push notifications about order status, booking reminders, and personal offers arrive free of charge and exactly when they're relevant. That's cheaper than SMS campaigns and brings customers back into the product without paying for repeat advertising.

Client

Can one app cover both iOS and Android?

Yes. Cross-platform development uses a single codebase for both platforms, which reduces the budget and simplifies maintenance. Platform-specific features — camera, geolocation, payments — are connected through native modules where needed.

Client

Does an app need a backend?

Almost always. Authentication, user data, business logic, and integrations live on the server. The backend and API are designed so that a website, admin panel, and internal systems can connect to them later — without a rewrite.

What mobile app development includes

10items

  • User flow and architecture design
  • UX/UI design following iOS and Android guidelines
  • Cross-platform or native development
  • Backend, API, and database
  • Phone and email authentication, roles and access rights
  • Push notifications and trigger-based scenarios
  • Integrations with CRM, payments, and accounting systems
  • Product analytics: events, funnels, retention
  • QA and testing on real devices
  • Publishing to the App Store and Google Play

Implementation options and when to choose them

We choose the technology for the task and the support budget, not for fashion. The final decision comes after the brief.

Cross-platform (React Native)

The default option: one codebase for iOS and Android, one team and one support line. Camera, geolocation and payments are added through native modules.

Native development (Swift, Kotlin)

Justified when the product is built around platform capabilities — heavy graphics, specific device features. More expensive: two codebases and two support lines.

A PWA instead of an app

If you don't need the stores, background push or deep device access, a web app does the job for less and updates without review.

MVP first

A first version with the main scenario — to validate demand before the full budget. The MVP scope is fixed before the start.

Result and limitations

What stays with you after the project — and what does not depend on us.

You get

  • Source code in your organization's repository — from the first commit
  • The app in the App Store and Google Play under your company's accounts
  • Backend and API with documentation — the same server side can serve the website and the admin panel
  • Product analytics: events and funnels for the key scenarios
  • Post-release support: error monitoring, updates for new iOS and Android versions

Limitations

  • App Store and Google Play review times and decisions are set by Apple and Google — we prepare the build for their requirements
  • A fixed price is given after the brief, once flows and integrations are clear
  • Developer accounts in the stores are registered to your company and paid at Apple's and Google's rates
  • Without support, the app gradually stops meeting store requirements and new OS versions

Useful before we talk

Contract, payment and warranty

The same terms for every B2B project: payments are tied to accepted results, and a stage price does not change after it starts.

TermHow we work
Payment for smaller projectsProjects up to 3 million ₸ and the MVP sprint: 50% upfront, 50% after acceptance
Payment for larger projectsERP, CRM, SaaS, portals — in stages of 1–2 months: 30% before a stage, 70% after the stage is accepted and signed off
Stage priceFixed before the start. New requirements are estimated separately and taken on only with your approval
Warranty6 months after acceptance: we fix defects in our code free of charge — whenever the system does not work as agreed
Not covered by the warrantyNew features and changed requirements, as well as failures caused by changes in third-party systems (a 1C update, a new bank or service API) — that is support
Code and accessOwned by the client from the first commit: repository, servers and keys are on your accounts. NDA on your template or ours

The terms are fixed in the contract before work begins.

How development works

  1. 01

    Brief and estimate

We break down the task: user flows, platforms, integrations, the scope of the first version. Timeline and budget estimate after the brief.

  2. 02

    Design

Architecture, data model, API contracts, and an interface prototype. Contentious decisions are tested on the prototype — before expensive development begins.

  3. 03

    Development

The backend and mobile client evolve in parallel, in iterations with live demos. Progress is visible in the task tracker and in test builds on your own phone.

  4. 04

    QA and publishing

Testing on real devices, preparing builds, descriptions, and screenshots, passing Apple and Google review. Developer accounts are registered to your company.

  5. 05

    Support

Error monitoring, updates for new iOS and Android versions, feature development along the roadmap. The app stays in working order instead of degrading after release.

Technology

Technology and architecture

Our primary tool is React Native with TypeScript: a single codebase covers iOS and Android, reducing both the development budget and the cost of maintenance. Where platform-specific functionality is needed — camera, geolocation, payments — we connect native modules in Swift and Kotlin. The backend is built on Node.js and PostgreSQL with a typed API: the same server side serves the app, the website, and the admin panel.

Integrations

Integrations

A mobile app rarely lives in isolation: orders, statuses, and customer data have to match what the office sees. We design the API so the app exchanges data with CRM, accounting, and payment systems automatically — no manual re-entry.

Frequently asked questions

InterLAB reference ranges: an app MVP — ₸2–5 million and 6–12 weeks, a turnkey app — ₸5–15 million and 2–4 months, complex products with many roles and integrations — from ₸10 million and 4–8 months. We give the exact cost after the brief: it depends on user flows, the backend, integrations and the number of platforms.

For most business tasks, cross-platform development is enough: one team, one codebase, two platforms. Native makes sense when the product is built around platform capabilities — heavy graphics or device-specific functionality. At the brief stage we'll show the numbers for both options.

We handle publishing: builds, descriptions, screenshots, passing Apple and Google review. Developer accounts are registered to your company — the app and its audience belong to you.

Support begins: error monitoring, updates for new iOS and Android versions, development along the roadmap. Store and OS requirements change regularly — without maintenance, an app gradually stops working correctly.

Yes. Integrations are designed at the API level: the app exchanges orders, statuses, and customer data with your CRM, 1C, and payment systems. Manual data transfer between systems goes away.

You do — from the first commit. The repository lives in your organization, and the App Store and Google Play accounts are registered to your company. If you change contractors, you take the code, access, and documentation with you.
